Australian Polygraph Services was established in 1997 as the first registered polygraph company in Australia. Australian Polygraph Services founder, Steven Van Aperen, was also the first certified and accredited polygraph examiner to provide consulting services to the Victoria Police Homicide Squad providing testing for homicide cases, thefts, frauds, sexual assaults, robberies and various other criminal issues. He also set up the South Australia police polygraph screening program for potential police candidates. We use the latest and most sophisticated computer polygraph equipment, video cameras and movement sensors available. APS now provide polygraph testing and EyeDetect lie detection services to the public and corporations.

APS has continued to grow and now has clients ranging from private individuals to major corporations and media organisations.
